PLANNED SPONTANEITY
When thinking of being spontaneous, planning is not the first word that comes to mind.
As business owners, parents, leaders and employees, you experience how frantic life can be.
Creating space to do what you want in your own time is liberating.
So how do you plan spontaneity?
By implementing one Small Act. Getting organised on Sundays.
Having a picture of your week ahead will give you peace of mind.
I ask all those I work with to sit down every Sunday night and organise their diaries for the week.
While this may seem like a basic activity to implement, many people do not make time to plan. Why? Because they are too busy.
The outcome of planning your week ahead will enable you to start each week with clarity.
You will move from thinking about all you have to do – to just doing!
You will know when you have free time during the week to spontaneously carry out an unplanned activity. See a movie, read, play with your kids or dare I say – just sit!
On the business side of things, Professional Development guru Brain Tracy says that “Every minute spent in planning saves as many as ten minutes in execution”. That’s a saving of up to 10 hours wasted time per week.
Planning your week = decluttering your mind + improved productivity.
Share with us the Small Act you do each week that has a Major Impact allowing you to be spontaneous?
