WIN THE BACHELOR
We see up to 5,000 messages a day.
This is a huge leap from the 2,000 messages per day we saw 30 years ago.
So “How do you stand out from the crowd?”
I often have clients ask me how can they get noticed when people are exposed to so many messages on a daily basis.
For companies that don’t have millions of dollars to splash on advertising and marketing, I share this very important message, “stay authentic to your brand and focus on your target audience.”
For those of you who watch The Bachelor, you will know there are always contestants that try and stand out to be noticed. They often veer away from their natural self in order to win the heart of The Bachelor when in fact they achieve the exact opposite.
The same can be said for your company and brand.
You need to “stay real” while focussing strongly on “Your Bachelor”. Who do you want to buy your product or service? You need to be very clear about this.
You need to get to know them well. What motivates them to buy and what will make them fall in love with you.
Keep your communications true to your service offering. Don’t try and be a sexy adrenaline style brand if you are a safe dependable old fashion brand with a history of conservatism.
Develop your tag line around the true essence of your brand.
One of my favourite taglines comes from the television show The Project. Their line – “News Delivered Differently”. Simple and true to its offering.
If your company was a person on a dating show how would you position it to secure the date?
Share your Small Act that would have a Major Impact on how you would stand out from the crowd.
What is your “Bachelor” strategy?
